The bed and breakfast “A casa di Maria” is just a few minutes from the Centre of Como and therefore from the “Lungo Lago” of piazza Cavour, for example, are about 20 minutes walk.
From piazza Cavour you can take boats to visit the Lake, or go to the funicular to Brunate, a beautiful town which offers a 360° panorama.
We are 5 minutes from the University and 10 minutes from the new hospital “Sant’Anna di San Fermo”.

The House is served by two Bus lines (# 6 and 11, ASF Como https://www.asfautolinee.it/), that stop just in front of the main door (Silo stop), one of which crosses the whole city direction Chiasso and passes close to the “Ferrovie Nord Milano” and to the “Como San Giovanni” station of the main Railway. ( download the map )

How to reach us

By car

From any point of Italy you must drive at Highway Milano Central Joint direction “Como Varese Autostrada dei Laghi”. Then, take the A9 direction Como Chiasso and exit at Grandate- Como Sud direction Center.

Como can be reached easily from Basel Switzerland with the motorway A2.

By Train

By train, with the main Railways step out in Como San Giovanni station, or take the “Ferrovie Nord Milano” and take the Milano-Como Lago from station Cadorna.

By plane

From Malpensa Airport with train to Saronno station and then change to Como, or up to Milano-Cadorna with “Ferrovie Nord Milano” and then to Como.

We are 40 minutes from Linate airport and 30 from Orio al Serio airport.
